HKU Graduate Internship Programme


HKU fresh graduates who wish to gain experience in the workplace can apply to take part in the HKU Graduate Internship Programme, which lasts for four months and has a quota of 50. Successful applicants can gain on-the-job experience and understanding of University operations while contributing to their alma mater. The programme will commence in August 2020.

The programme provides

  • Hands-on experience in day-to-day working environment of the University
  • Chance to work in project assignments
  • Coached/feedback by supervisor
  • Workplace skills training by professional trainers
  • A monthly salary at HK$13,000

  • Interns with good potential will be accorded priority in University employment opportunities.

    Information Technology Services (1) The appointee will work as an Information Security (IS) Promotion Coordinator to coordinate and assist in various IS awareness programmes, such as meet-up sessions, IS roadshows and innovative promotion materials production (e.g. micro film (微電影)).     Medical Ethics and Humanities Unit The appointee will support an Assistant Lecturer/Programme Manager (supervisor) by performing administrative tasks for a medical humanities teaching programme that seeks to nurture development of medical students into caring physicians who are capable of providing more humanistic care to patients and to themselves.     Department of Ophthalmology The appointee will be involved in a knowledge exchange project which aims to promote general but essential knowledge about the major vision-threatening diseases to the younger generations. An education kit which includes guidelines and essential materials of various experiential activities that introduce vision-threatening diseases will be developed. The success of this project can raise the awareness of the early symptoms, the timely examinations and treatments of vision-threatening diseases to the general public through educating the younger generations.
