【Programme Details】

Organiser: Alliance of University & College YMCAs, Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong

Date: 5 November 2022 (Sat)

Time: 09:30-18:30

Venue: HKU (Volunteers Training), Various districts in Hong Kong (Community Hunt) and CUHK (Inclusive Carnival)

Service Targets: ethnic minority youth, the visually impaired and the golden-aged

Programme Content:
1. Volunteers Training
Participants will be arranged to join one of the trainings about the needs and the related service skills for the ethnic minority youth, the visually impaired and the golden-aged, which will be held by professionals from the social welfare sector.
2. Community Hunt
Participants will be matched with one of the service targets and meet up with other teammates at a specific checkpoint. Through exploring an iconic spot together, the service targets and students can have a better understanding of each other.
3. Inclusive Carnival
Through a variety of experiential activities and workshops in the Carnival, different target groups can experience other people's life and demonstrate their strengths, while at the same time, participants can learn to appreciate and respect each other to embrace community inclusion.

 

【Programme Fee*】

$60/person (In groups of 2/3) 

$90/person (Individual registration)

*A deposit of $50 is required for each participant. Deposit will be fully refunded upon the completion of the activity with satisfactory performance.
Exemption may apply to participants who are able to provide written proofs (such as unavoidable academic reasons/sick leave) in case they are unable to attend the programmes. University & College YMCA Department of Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong reserves the right of final decision for any disputes.

#The fee includes activities in the programme but excludes the transportation cost incurred in the community hunt.

 

【Payment Method】

1. [FPS Payment]: Individual applicant/contact person of your group will receive an email with payment instructions within three working days upon submitting this form. Successful applicants should settle the payment properly with "FPS" within two working days.

2. [Cash Payment]: Individual applicant/contact person of your group will receive an email with payment instructions within three working days upon submitting this form. Please settle the payment at CEDARS Office for you / your group within two working days. Further instructions will be given in the email.

【Remarks】

【Important Remarks】

[Part A]

1) Membership fee and programme fee will not be refunded under any circumstances; 

2) For group applications, please assign one member to be the contact person of your group to fill in this form and settle all the payment. Please also reserve sufficient time (about 5-10 mins) for filling in this form;

3) Applicants will be randomly teamed up with other university students and service targets by the Organiser to participate in the whole event, and we cannot guarantee that the group participants will be in the same group;

4) According to the latest situation of the epidemic, the final format of the event may be changed, and further notice will be notified at that time;

5) No matter the event is conducted in any format, participants will only get a full deposit refund upon successful completion of the programme;

 

[Part B]

Applicants must be the members of University & College YMCA. Please ensure that all applicants have completed membership registration and have both 1) the membership number and 2) the expiry date.

(i) If you do not know your membership number, please submit your enquiry via WhatsApp +852 2705-2231. (Staff will reply during office hours)

(ii) If you are not our member yet, please click HERE to know more and apply for our membership by:
1. [Credit Card] Access the online membership application portal and select "Uni-Y/ College Y Member" for membership type. Fill in and pay the relevant membership fee. You will instantly receive the membership number and expiry date via the confirmation email sent to your mailbox.
2. [FPS] Download and fill in the membership form for your institution, email it to uniycypg@ymca.org.hk with the subject named: "Inclusion in Action: Joint-U Community Hunt X Inclusive Carnival". You will receive a payment instruction via email within 3 working days to settle both the membership and programme fee in one go.

【Terms, Conditions & Declaration】

1. Activities involve physical exercise. All participants must ensure that their physical and mental conditions are ready for this activity. The Organiser is not liable for any injuries/ sickness/ loss of personal belongings during the event; participants have the sole responsibility instead; 活動涉及體能活動,參加者需確保身體狀況良好並適合參與是次活動,主辦單位並不會對參加者所發生的任何意外、受傷或其所攜帶之財物承擔任何責任。參加者須自行承擔一切責任;

2. Participants under 18 years old on the Event Day must submit a consent form signed by their parent/guardian; 於活動當日未滿十八歲之參加者必須於活動當日或之前遞交由家長或監護人簽署的同意書方可參與活動;

3. Photos and videos will be taken at the event for future promotion and the Organiser reserves all copyright and ownership of the photos and videos taken at the event; 主辦單位於活動期間所拍攝的相片或影像,將用作日後宣傳及推廣用途,並保留有關相片及影像的版權及擁有權;

4. Limited quota applies. Your application will only be confirmed upon the completion of the payment. The Organiser reserves the right to close entries before the announced deadline without prior notice; 活動名額有限,一切以繳費為準,主辦單位有權提前截止報名而不作另行通知;

5. The Organiser reserves the right to contact participants by phone or other means for additional information required for the application; 主辦單位有權以電話或其他方式聯絡參加者以取得所需資訊作活動安排用途;

6. The Organiser reserves the right to void any applications with invalid information and/or submitted via improper procedures; 若參加者提供的資料有任何錯誤或不依照正確程序報名,主辦單位保留拒絕接受其參與權利;

7. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the activity due to any circumstances beyond the organiser's control, including but not limited to insufficient enrolment, severe weather condition, social unrest, severe pandemic etc. while all application fee will not be refunded; 如發生任何主辦單位無法控制的情況導致活動無法如常舉行,包括但不限於參與人數不足、惡劣天氣或特殊社會及疫情狀況等,主辦單位有權決定取消整個活動,所遞交之報名費不獲退還;

8. The event will be cancelled if a red or black rainstorm signal or a tropical cyclone signal No.3 or above is still hoisted at or before 7:30am on the event day. The cancellation announcement will be posted on the Facebook page and Instagram page of University & College YMCA. Participants are fully obliged to look for such announcements on their own; individual notifications will not be made. If an alternate mode of the Programme is adopted due to any conditions (including but not limited to the adverse weather conditions mentioned above , severe pandemic situation, etc.), the Organiser will rearrange and send the notifications to all participants; 如活動當日早上7時30分或之前天文台仍懸掛三號或以上熱帶氣旋警告信號、紅色或黑色暴雨警告訊號仍然生效,當天活動將會取消。相關通告將於大學及學院青年會 Facebook 專頁和 Instagram 賬戶發佈,參加者有責任自行到專頁瀏覽。主辦單位將不會個別通知參加者。 如活動受任何情況(包括但不限於以上惡劣天氣或疫情等影響)而需改為以其他形式進行,主辦單位將會另作安排及通知各參加者;

9. Participants must follow all instructions given by the event staff, volunteers and officials with respect to all matters regarding the event; 參加者必須尊重及遵守由主辦單位職員、工作人員或其授權人士所發出的任何指引;

10. The Organiser reserves the right to prohibit the participants from joining without any refund of application fee if the participants violate any of the above conditions and terms; 參加者如違反上述條款,主辦單位保留禁止其參與之權利而不作任何退款;

11. In case of any disputes, the Organiser reserves the right to make all decisions related to the event, including but not limited to the confirmation of entries, the arrangement of the event, and the amendment to the terms or conditions without prior notice; and 如有任何爭議,主辦單位保留對是次活動的最終決定權,包括但不限於取錄參加者及活動安排,以及保留增減、修改及刪除條款及細則之權利,而不作事先通知;及
