【Project Background & Introduction】
The "Joint-U Playground Builder Project" has been launched by the University & College YMCA Department since 2021, which aims to recruit passionate students from different universities to organise activities for children in Hong Kong, to build playground in developing countries and to promote children's play right both locally and globally.
Since 2016, the University & College YMCA Department has led more than 100 university students to the Philippines, Cambodia, Mongolia and Chiang Mai to build 6 playgrounds respectively, serving more than 10,000 children. Apart from overseas playground construction, our Department has initiated a local project named “Handmade Playground” since 2018, which aims to address the problem of “lack of play” and internet addiction among children in Hong Kong, by upcycling different eco-friendly materials into therapeutic playground facilities. The project has brought immense impact to children and it was well recognised by the Agency For Volunteer Service in 2020.

【Programme Details】
Programme Period: Nov 2022 - August 2023
Fee: HKD$300 + Deposit $200 (Overseas service trip fee is not included.)
*Deposit is refundable upon 80% or above attendance in preparatory meetings, and full attendance in all local programmes with satisfactory performance

(Mong Kok Holistic Development Centre, 8/F Chung Kiu Commercial Building, 47-51 Shantung Street, Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong)
Date: 8-9 November 2022 (Tue-Wed)
Time: 19:30-21:45 (*Applicants are only required to attend one interview session)
*A confirmation email with interview details will be sent to all successful applicants by noon of 4 November 2022.
