Student Groups and Networks

Hong Kong University Students’ Union (HKUSU)

There are currently around 130 student organisations affiliated to HKUSU. These student organisations are categorised into five main groups: Faculty and Academic Societies, Hall Students’ Associations, Sports Clubs (forming the Sports Association), Cultural Clubs (forming the Cultural Association) and Independent Clubs (forming the Independent Clubs Association).

Other Student Organisations

Apart from student organisations under HKUSU, there are other student groups with a focus on other areas such as   global citizenship, fair trade etc. If you are a full-time undergraduate student from Mainland China, you may be interested in visiting the website of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA-HKU) and its Undergraduate Department (CSSAUD) .

iMAP

iMAP is an online social networking platform for the HKU community exclusively. Members can search for private accommodation nearby, look for flatmates and other fellow students by interest, talent, nationality, current location and overseas experience etc. They can also stay in touch with the rest of the HKU community and share their travel experience while abroad. To register, please visit cedars.hku.hk/imap.

HKU Service Network

HKU Service Network is an online platform for community service engagement and networking. By joining the Network, students can:

  • Identify service opportunities
  • Share service learning experiences
  • Recruit volunteers for service projects
  • Identify funding sources
  • Network with local and international NGOs
