LE-2-02 Sponsored trip to Israel to visit innovative high-tech start-ups (Jan 8-13, 2015)

Ten students from the University of Hong Kong will be fully sponsored to take part in the captioned visit. Interested students should apply before 10am on 17 November 2014 (Monday).

Titled as “Techcracker Lab”, the visit aims to empower and enrich students, teachers and the greater community through technological, cultural and social exchange between schools, students and startup communities.  The trip will take place from 8 to 13 January, 2015 in Tel Aviv in Israel.

Ten students from HKU will be selected to join the visit. 30 other students from local universities and 10 secondary school students will also take part. Student participants will journey through the birth and growth of a startup, and will interact with local entrepreneurs, leaders and influencers within the tech community. 

Tentative Programme: (Participants MUST attend all programmes)

 21 Nov 2014 – a pre-session introduction and talk by Professor Dan Shechtman (Nobel Laureate from Technion) at HK PolyU, 6pm

 8-13 Jan 2015 – visit and workshops at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, visit various startups in Israel plus a city tour and more. 


Full-time full-degree HKU Students (both local and non-local)
