Joy to Live: A Home Improvement Project for Subdivided Flat Residents in Southern District

Joy to Live” is a “We Are With You (WAY) Project” that aims to improve the quality of life and dignity of people living in the subdivided flats in Southern District through a survey on their living conditions and needs, a home improvement project and an exhibition. Join to visit and conduct the first comprehensive survey on subdivided flats in Southern District of Hong Kong to have some direct acquaintances with the subdivided flat residents and discover more about this housing phenomenon in Hong Kong. The data you collect will be used to compile a report to reveal the demographic profile, living conditions and service needs of subdivided flat residents.

Recruitment of Volunteers for Data Collection Day

Session 1:      24 February, 2016 (Wed)
Session 2:     2 March, 2016 (Wed)

Time:             5:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Venue:           Southern District, Hong Kong
Language:     Cantonese#

* Students are welcome to participate in more than 1 session. Volunteers who participate in one full session will be provided meal and transport subsidy.

# The survey with sub-divided flat residents will be conducted in Cantonese. Non-local students who are interested may also join and will be paired up with local students.
