innoart is an experiential learning project under the WAY Project to foster social inclusion through the creation and marketing of souvenirs co-produced by disadvantaged artists and HKU students.

Hand in Hand (22cm x 18cm / HK$18)

Each Chinese character represents the thoughts and emotions of Sau Lan, an artist suffering from Down Syndrome. By touching the hand of San Lan and swiping through the words on the mouse pad, we can connect to her mind and heart.

You Have Me (40cm x 40cm / HK$88)

The figure on the cushion is a self-portrait of Ah-Mi, an artist with Down Syndrome. This is one masterpiece out of thousands of self portraits. Each piece displays Ah-Mi’s perseverance and his dinstinctive ego.

Blessing You (8.2cm x 8.2cm / HK$10)

On a fine sunny day in April, Oi Yi drew the happy fishes that were swimming under the Aberdeen typhoon shelter. They are those on the red packets.

Despite her seniority and severe visual impairment, Oi Yi finds her way to record every beautiful thing she sees with the eyes of her heart through drawing.

Love in a Mug (9.5cm x 8cm / HK$48)

This is a sketch of the crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling, which Lisa drew during a tea gathering with HKU students in a Chinese restaurant in Aberdeen. It represents love and hope to Lisa who is mildly mentally challenged.
